Sony A1 - Setting it up

Now that you’ve got your new Sony A1, here’s how to get it set up. If you’d like help unboxing it, take a look at Sony's Quick Setup guide. Always make sure you follow the instructions for fixing the stand to the TV.

Once you've got your TV in place and connected everything, you'll need to go through the initial setup.

Setting it up

Now that your TV is in place and connected, let’s get started with the setup.

1.

When you first turn your TV on, you’ll see the 'Welcome' screen.

Using the remote, choose the Language you want to use.

There's an option to use an Android phone or tablet to set up your TV, if you want to do this, choose Yes and follow the steps.

To continue with the standard setup, choose No.

Pick the name of your Wi-Fi network from the list, then enter your password.

4.

Once connected, you'll be asked to sign in to your Google account.

You can always log in later if you like, so choose Skip.

5.

You'll need to agree to Sony's 'Privacy Policy'. Read through the information, then choose Agree.

6.

You'll see some information about using voice commands to control your TV. When you've read the information, choose Next.

7.

Choose how your TV will be receiving programming by picking Set-top box or Built-in tuner.

8.

If you chose set-top box, you can control it using your TV remote. To do this, choose Set up or set it up later by choosing Skip.

9.

Choose Done to finish setting up your TV.
