How to live stream your PS4 game on Twitch or YouTube

squiggleboldXL

Have you ever watched a video of someone's game and wondered how cool it'd be if people were watching you? Well, here’s the good news. They can, and it’s easier than you might think to broadcast from your PS4.

The PS4 lets you use two of the most popular streaming platforms to broadcast your game – Twitch and YouTube. Twitch is the largest dedicated streaming platform in the world, hosting everything from personal streams to professional e-sports tournaments. YouTube really doesn’t need any introduction, and hosts, well, almost everything.

Make a channel

Sony has made it as easy as possible for users to broadcast (or stream) their gameplay to the world. The PS4 has all the tools you need already built into the operating system, apart from a channel to host your stream, where others can see your live broadcasts and shared content.

To create a Twitch channel, head over to their website and click the Sign up button top-right. Fill in a few details, and you're ready to go.

You'll need a Google account to set up a YouTube channel. If you haven't got one, sign up for a free account.
