Using a ZTE Blade L110


In this guide, we'll show you how to get some of the basics done with your Blade L110, including things like making calls and sending texts.



Making phone calls


Although you can do a lot of impressive things with your Blade L110, making calls is one the essentials you will need to know about.

Open the Phone app from the Home screen.


Once the app opens, you'll have these options:

  • Speed dial: shows you favourite contacts.
  • Recents: shows you any recently placed, received or missed calls.
  • Contacts: shows you all the numbers saved to your phone.
  • Keypad button: shows you a dialler, so you can type in a number.



When you have number onscreen, press the green phone icon to call it.

Sending texts & multimedia messages (MMS)


In this part of the guide we'll show you how you can send text messages, and attachments like pictures.

Open the Messages app from the Home screen.


Tap the + button at the top to create a new message, or tap a person's name to reply to them.


If you're writing a new message, tap Type name or number, and start typing a person's name or number. You might get some suggestions from your contacts - tap one to choose them.


Tap the Type message box, and write your text.


Tap the blue arrow button to get the text on its way.

Sending attachments & multimedia messages (MMS)

To add an attachment to your text, follow steps 1-4 (above) and then go through these steps.

Tap the + button on the left of the message box.


Choose the type of thing you want to attach - a picture, a video etc.


Go through the phone to find the item you want to send, and tap it.


With the item attached, press the arrow to send it.

Deleting a message thread

A 'message thread' is all the messages sent between you and a contact.


Open the Messages app.


Press and hold the thread you want to delete, until a tick shows next to it.


Tap the bin icon to remove it.

Sending emails


Before you can send emails, you'll need to have an account added to your phone. If you haven't set one up, read our ZTE Blade L110 set up guide to see how.

Open the Email app from the Home screen.


Tap the new email button in the bottom-right.


Tap the To box, and start typing a person's email address or name. Suggestions from your contacts might show as you're typing - tap one to choose them.


Type a subject for your email.


Write your message into the box at the bottom.


Tap the arrow in the top-right to send the email on its way.

Adding an attachment

To add an attachment to your email, follow steps 1-5 (above) to get your email ready, then follow these steps.

Tap the paperclip on the bar at the top, then tap Attach file.


Go through the phone to find the item you want to attach, and tap it.


With the item attached, tap the arrow on the right to send it.

Setting alarms


In this part of the guide, we'll show you how to set alarms, or change the settings for them.

From the Home screen, tap the Clock app.



Tap on the alarm icon in the top-left.


Tap the + button at the bottom.


Use the clock to choose the hour and minutes you want the alarm to go off.


Tap OK.

You can also adjust some of the other alarm options.

  • Repeat: choose the days you want the alarm to go off.
  • Ringtone: pick the sound your alarm will make.
  • Label: give the alarm a name such as 'work' or 'school'.

Your alarm is ready, and will go off at the time you've set.
