Before you can send email, your phone needs to have an email account added to it. If there isn't one on the phone, read our Smart First 7 Setup guide to get one added.

5. Tips

squiggle

Once you've learnt the standard bits of your phone, these tips will help you get more from it.

Monitoring your data usage

Your mobile contract or pay as you go plan might have a limit on how much data you can use per month, and it might cost you money if you go over it. You can use your phone's Data usage feature to keep track of how much data you've used, or set monthly limits to make sure you don't go over.

Go to Settings >Data Usage Mobile

In here you'll be able to see what apps have been using your data. If you turn on the switch for 'Set mobile data limit', and you can tell the phone what your monthly allowance is, and then your phone will alert you if you get close to it or go over it.

Checking your battery usage

If your phone isn't lasting as long as you'd like, you can use the phone's battery monitor to see what's using up your power, and hopefully improve things.

Go to Settings Battery and you can see what apps or bits of the phone have been using the most battery. You can also turn on the power saving mode to make it last longer.

Hopefully, that should be everything you need to know about using your Vodafone Smart First 7, but if you'd like some extra help, you can get in touch with our Team Knowhow Experts here.
