5. Tips

Now that we've covered some of the basics of the phone, here are some tips to help you get a bit more from it.

Device connection

Xperia XA Tips 1

This lets you connect your phone to different devices in just a few taps.

Go to Settings > Device connection to see the options available.

  • Screen mirroring: show your phone on a bigger screen, like a TV.
  • Cast screen: mirrors your screen to a 'Chromecast' device.
  • Media server settings: lets other pieces of kit connect to your phone and view its contents.
  • USB: connects your phone to USB devices like keyboards or flash drives.
  • Printing: lets you send documents and pictures directly from your phone to a compatible printer.

Improve battery life

Your Xperia XZ has some battery saving modes that can help your phone to last longer. Go to Settings > Battery, and you'll see how much battery you've got, and two power modes:

  • Stamina mode: turns off some background features and services to reduce battery use.
  • Ultra Stamina mode: Turns off many features of the phone, only leaving you with the essentials like being able to make calls, send texts, or use the calculator.

If you tap Show battery usage, you'll see a list of the apps and services that have been using your battery, which can help you to see what is using the most power on your phone.

Hopefully, that should be everything you need to use your phone, but if you'd like some extra help, you can get in touch with our Team Knowhow Experts here.
