Setting up a Sony Xperia XZ Premium

Before you start using your XZ Premium, you'll need to get it set up. This guide takes you through all the steps, from putting in the SIM card to protecting it with a lock screen.

Box contents

This is what you get in the box:

  • Sony Xperia XZ Premium
  • Mains power adapter
  • USB-C media cable
  • Information pack

Inserting your SIM & memory cards

To get the SIM card into the phone, have a look down the left-hand edge of the phone and you'll see a notch in the plastic. Use your fingernail to open the cover and slide the tray out, again using your fingernail. Line the sim card up on the tray, making sure the gold contacts are facing upwards, then slide the tray back into the phone.

If you've got a memory card to put in as well, it goes in the tray that's attached to the cover. Open the cover and put the memory card on the tray, making sure that the gold contacts are facing up.
