Setting a new language on your phone can be a bit tricky. This step by step guide will show you how to get your phone working with whichever language you want.
The system language is the language used by your phone for menus, settings and some notifications. We'll also show you how to change the keyboard language later in this guide.
From your Home screen, go to Settings and choose the System tab.
Tap Language and input > Language.
You'll see a list of available languages, just tap the one you want to use.
As well as the system language, you can also change the keyboard language. This lets you type in any language you want. Here's how it's done.
From your Home screen, go to Settings > System > Language and input.
Tap Samsung keyboard > Select input languages, then choose the language you want to use from the list.
The new language will be downloaded and you see it at the top of the list. Make sure there's a green tick in the box.
Now that you've added another language, you'll be able to switch between your active languages from the keyboard.
When you open the keyboard (to write a message, or send an email, etc), you'll see the current language written on the keyboard. Just swipe left or right to choose the language you want to use.
