Everything to do with phone calls is done through the Phone app, which can be found in the bottom-left of the Home screen.
To dial a number directly, open the phone dialler and enter the number, then tap Call to start the call.
The People list shows you all the contacts in your A9S. Scroll through the list and tap a contact to open it, then tap the correct number to call them.
You can also use the keypad to spell out their name. If you know more than one person with the name you're searching, you'll need to tap the correct contact from the suggestions.
The menu button (3 dots) allows you access to the settings menu where you can manage blocked numbers, change the size of the dialler keypad and set up speed dials for your most frequently contacted numbers.

Attach file allows you to send a file that is already on your A9S. This may be a sound recording, a photo or video you've taken, or a file you've downloaded. Insert from Drive lets you attach an item you have stored online in your Google Drive, as long as you've added your Google account to your handset. Navigate through the on screen menu to find the item you want, and tap it to add it to your email.
Add further attachments if you wish, and compose your message. To send, tap the right-facing arrow.
You can use the HTC One A9s' alarm feature to wake you up in the morning, and you can set the days it goes off, so you don't need to remember to turn it on or off.

If BlinkFeed doesn't appear when you press the Home button or display the clock at the top of your Feed, you may need to change your default Home Screen! To begin, place your thumb and index finger on your phone screen a couple of inches apart then pinch them together.
You'll notice the BlinkFeed screen is in the top left. Hold your finger down on the BlinkFeed screen for a couple of seconds, then drag your finger up to the set as home message in the top-left corner.
