Moving contacts to your Apple iPhone

If you need to move your contacts over from your old phone to your new iPhone, there are a few different options. In this guide, we'll go through the different ways of moving them over from different phones.

Most of the ways to get your contacts use iCloud, so make sure this is set up before starting.

1.

Open Settings, then tap your name at the top, or sign in with your Apple ID and password.

2.

Tap iCloud, and make sure the switch for 'Contacts' is green. If it's not, tap it to turn it on.

3.

If you're asked, tap Merge.

If your contacts are on your SIM card, they'll be moved over automatically when you put it in your iPhone.
