Kit Guide: Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 - using it

Now that you've got your phone set up, it's time to get up to speed with using it. This guide will help you with the basics, from making calls to settings alarms.

1. Making phone calls

Even though your phone does lots of amazing things, it still does the simple things, like making calls. These steps will show you how.

Press the Phone icon on your Home screen.

 

2.

You can search your contacts by pressing the Contacts tab at the top. Tap the one you want, then press the green phone to call them.

 

3.

Type in the contact's name or mobile number. If matching contacts pop-up, you can tap them, then press the green phone to call them.

 

4.

If you want to type a number in, press the keypad button. It's the blue circle with the dots in it.

2. Sending texts & multimedia messages (MMS)

Sending texts is pretty straight forward, and our simple steps will get you started with it.

Press the Messaging icon on the Home screen (it's the white envelope in the yellow box).

 

2.

To write a new message, press Compose (the speech bubble with the + in the top-right corner).

 

3.

In the 'To' box, type the name or mobile number you're texting. Write your message in the Type text message box, then press the green arrow to send it.

 

Adding an attachment

 

Add pictures, videos or other file types to your email by following these steps.

Write your email as normal, but press the paperclip before you send it.

 

2.

Choose the type of file you're adding, and search for the one you want. Tap it to add it.

 

3.

You'll see a preview of it on your email. When you're finished adding things, press the white arrow to send it.

4. Setting alarms

Alarms can be a really useful tool to use, here's how to set one up.

Open your alarm settings by going to Apps Clock.

 

2.

Set a new alarm by pressing the + at the bottom.

 

3.

Drag the circle until it's on the hour you want.

 

4.

Do the same thing to set the minutes, then press OK.
