If you can get into the settings menu of the phone, this is how to reset the Note 4. Doing this will completely wipe the phone of all it's data, so make sure that anything you want to save has been backed up.
You might also want to remove the Google account from your phone, unless you know the username and password, because you'll have to log in with it when the phone comes back on.
Open the Settings and go to Back up and reset.
At the bottom, choose Factory data reset.
You'll see the back up settings to show you if there's any account still signed in. When you're ready, tap Reset device.
If you've got a PIN or Password set up on the phone, you'll need to put it in to confirm you want to do the reset. Press Continue.
The phone will reset. It might take a couple of minutes, but a progress bar will show you how it's getting on.
If you can't get into the phone's settings menu, then you'll need to use the recovery menu to do it. The best thing to do is use the recovery menu, and we'll talk you through how to get into it here. There's some buttons to press in a specific order, so we recommend giving the steps a read through before you try them.
Start by turning the phone off. If you can't see the screen, just take the battery out for a few seconds.
Press the Volume up, Home and Power buttons together. You might need to use both hands to reach them all.
Hold the buttons down until a screen comes up with some light writing on. It should say 'Android system recovery' at the top. Let the buttons go when you see it. If the phone starts turning on, you'll need to start again.
To move to a different option on the screen, use the volume buttons. Move down to highlight 'Wipe data/factory reset' and then press the Power button to choose it.
Use the volume buttons again to highlight Yes, then press the Power button to choose it.
The phone will start to reset. When it's done, you'll see an option for 'Reboot system now'. Press the Power button to choose it.
You should be able to get your Note 4 reset back to it's factory settings now. If you need any more help, contact a Team Knowhow Expert here.
