Windows phones have a useful 'Transfer my data' app which can import contacts as well as other things like pictures and text messages.
Swipe across the Home screen to the apps list.
Tap transfer my data.
Turn on Bluetooth on your old phone, then tap continue on your Windows phone.
Tap the switch to turn on Bluetooth.
Tap on your old phone's name to pair them.
Check that the numbers match on both phones, and tap OK.
Pick what you want to transfer, then tap start.
You'll see the progress shown onscreen. When it's finished, tap the Windows button at the bottom.
When the transfer's finished, you'll find your contacts in the People app on the Home screen.
If your contacts are on your SIM card, follow these short steps to get them onto your Windows phone:
Tap People, then tap Menu at the bottom (three dots)
Tap Settings > Import from SIM
Pick the contacts you want to move, then tap import at the bottom.
Tap people > contacts > +.
Type your new contact's details in the boxes.
Tap the disk icon to save.
