Getting used to a new phone when you were so comfortable with your old one is tricky, but these steps will help with the basics.
When you're done with these steps, you'll be chatting away on the phone in no time.
Open the phone app by pressing the blue phone on the Home screen.
You'll be taken to the 'Favourites page'. There's a couple of ways you can call someone:
When you've got the number onscreen, tap the green phone to make the call.
Getting used to texting can be confusing, but these steps are here to help.
Tap the messaging icon on your Home screen (it looks like a pair of speech bubbles) to open your Inbox.
Write a new text by tapping the speech bubble at the top.
Tap the 'To' box and type in the persons name or mobile number.
Write your message in the 'Type text message' box. When you're ready press Send (the green arrow).
You can add pictures, videos and other things to your text, but you need to be aware that it's chargeable. Check with your network about costs first.
Write your text message, then tap the paperclip instead of send.
Choose the type of file you want, then look through and find the one you want. Tap it to add it.
You'll see a preview of the file above your text. When you're happy, press Send (the green arrow).
A message thread is a list of the texts between you and someone else. To delete a full thread, find it in your Inbox, then press and hold on it. When it's got a tick next to it, tap the bin icon at the top, and it'll be gone.
To be able to start sending emails, you'll need to have the account set up on your Ektra. It might not have been done yet, so you can use our Setup Guide if you need help with it.
Open your Inbox by pressing Apps > GMail or Email (depending which one you've set up).
Write a new email by pressing Compose (the pen in the red circle).
Type the person's email address in the 'To' box, then add a subject to the 'Subject' box.
In the box under 'Subject' write your email. When you're finished, press the white arrow at the top to send it.
These steps will get you used to adding attachments to your email. You can add things like pictures, videos and documents.
Write out your email, then tap the paperclip instead of send.
Choose where the file is, then when you've found it, tap it to add it.
You'll see a preview of it under the email you wrote. Press Send (the white arrow at the top) when you're ready.
Time is precious these days, so make sure you're always on time by knowing how to set alarms.
Alarms are set in the clock app. Open it by pressing Apps > Clock.
Press the red + to set a new one.
Drag the circle around the clock face to the hour you want.
Do the same with the minutes, then press OK.
Your new alarm will be set and will have a red switch next to it. You can tap the switch to turn it off (it'll turn white).
