If you can't unlock your BB10 or BBOS7 phone (like the Passport, Z30, Bold or Curve), the only thing you can do is reset the phone and start again.
Resetting your phone will wipe everything from it, but if you make regular backups with BlackBerry Link, you can restore your stuff, and then set a new password to keep it safe.
Type the password. If it's wrong, you'll be asked to try again. Keep going until you type a 'wrong' password 5 times.
After 5 incorrect tries, you'll be asked to type blackberry and press Enter. This is to make sure you're hitting the right buttons when you type.
You then get another 5 goes to type the right password. If you haven't got it right in 10 tries, you'll be asked to type blackberry and press Enter to wipe the phone.
When the BlackBerry restarts, follow the 'Setup Wizard' to get it up and running, then connect it to your computer to restore your latest backup to the phone.
