The App Store has millions of different apps and games you can download, and in this guide we'll go how to find and install them onto your kit, and manage them once they're on there.
When you've found an app you want to download, it will have either a button that says Get (if it's free) or the price of the app. Tap it to get the download started.
You might need to authorise the download, with your fingerprint or password.
Once authorised, the app will start downloading. You'll see a small circle slowing filling up as it downloads.
Once it's downloaded, you can tap Open to go to the app. You'll also find a shortcut to on your Home screen.
Organising apps on your Home screen, downloading apps you've had before, and deleting them from your phone can all be done in just a few taps.
When you get a new app, the icon automatically fills the next available space on your Home screen. To put them in a different order, press and hold on the app you want to move and it'll start wriggling. When that happens, you can drag it to wherever you want it to be. Press the Home button when you've finished to stop everything from wriggling.
You can also put your apps in folders to make them easier to find, instead of having to look through all the different pages. To make a new folder, press and hold on the app you want to move until it jiggles, then move it on top of another app and hold it there for a couple of seconds until they're put into a folder. Change the name of the folder if you want, and add more apps, then press the Home button when you're done.
If you want to move apps out of a folder, open the folder, then press and hold the app it until it's jiggling, and then move it to the edge of the folder and drop it back onto the Home screen. If you take the last app out of a folder then the folder will disappear too.
If you want to re-download an app or game you might have deleted, or you've got a new device and want to get your stuff back, you can do it in just a few steps.
Open the App Store and tap on your profile picture in the top-right.
You can then look through your all your past apps, and check the 'not on this iPhone' for any that aren't on it.
You might have some apps that you don't use any more, so it's best to delete them. To get rid of an app, press and hold on it until it starts wriggling, and you'll see an 'X' pop-up in the top-right corner of it. Tap the X to delete the app.
With iOS 11, you can remove some of the built-in apps - so if you don't use things like the Stocks or Apple Watch app, you can delete them just like any other app. You still can't remove the essentials like the Phone or Messages app, so don't worry about deleting anything you shouldn't.
