Bad smells coming from inside your dishwasher could just mean there's some dirt and old food built-up in there. This guide will help you to get your dishwasher clean and smell free.
Take the dishwasher trays out carefully, so you can gently clean the inside walls of the dishwasher. You can use a sponge and some hot soapy water. Any stubborn bits can be scrubbed with a toothbrush, but be careful that you don't disturb or break any of the seals.
Have a look in your user manual for the instructions on taking the filter out. Empty it out and then you can clean it as well before putting it back. Check the drain and the base of the dishwasher and make sure there's no dirt blocking it up.
Make sure there's no soap left inside the dishwasher by wiping it with a clean sponge and some hot water, then you can put the trays back in. To give your dishwasher a really good clean, sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom of it, and put a cup full of white vinegar on the top rack. Run the dishwasher on its hottest setting, making sure it's empty apart from the baking soda and vinegar.
