Kit Guide: Fixing internet certificate issues

Websites use security certificates to make sure information like email addresses or passwords are secure.

The security certificates will only work for a certain dates, and if the date on your clock is wrong, it won't match the certificate and you will get an error.

The websites you visit are responsible for making sure their certificates are up to date. If a website hasn't, you'll keep getting the error every time you go to it. If you trust the website, you can force you computer to go to it, but it'll be less secure than normal.

1.

Click the Start button and then Control Panel.

2.

Click Network and Internet, then click Internet options.

3.

Click the Security tab.

4.

Click Trusted sites.

5.

Click the Sites button.

6.

Click add to trust this website, then Close.

7.

Close Internet Options and Control Panel.

Go to the website again to see if it is working.
