Important information

We don't currently offer installations for gas cookers – so if you've got a gas appliance, you'll need to contact a Registered Gas Installer (RGI) to install your gas appliance.

What we'll do

Disconnect your existing kit

We'll safely disconnect your existing cooker, oven or hob and unbox your new product.

Check your connections

We'll check your electric connections to make sure they're suitable and meet legal requirements.

Perform a health & safety check

We'll perform a full health & safety check, making sure there's enough space for all your new kit.

Test your kit

We'll make sure your new kit is fully operational and test its connections.

Provide safety certificates

We'll give you a copy of your electrical installation certificate, verifying your kit is safe to use and all safety checks are complete.

Clear up

We'll take away the packaging and, if you've purchased recycling, remove your old kit.

Checklist before we arrive

Step 1: Check your connection

Make sure you have the correct electrical supply outlet for your cooker within 1.5 metres of the required location:

  • 32 amp outlets: freestanding electric cookers that consume greater than 3KW
  • 13 amp outets: single electric cookers using less than 2.99KW

Step 2: Check the space

Please make sure:

  • That we have clear access to the area you want your new appliance installed. If stairs are involved, that there's room to manoeuvre.
  • That the appliance will fit into the space, with enough space at the back and either side of the cooker to allow for ventilation. Check the product specification for the cooker you want to buy.

Step 3: Check the environment

Please make sure that there's no combustible material behind the cooker location. For example, the area directly above a hob must not have any power points, switches, boilers or alarm sensors. Additionally, there must not be any flammable material such as wallpaper, wood, fabric wall coverings, curtains or shelving.

Step 4: Make sure someone is home

Lastly, it's important to make sure someone is at home to sign for the installation, otherwise we won't be able to complete it.
