What to do before you make a claim

If your phone has been stolen, you’ll need to report the incident to the police and obtain a crime reference number before your claim can be submitted. Make sure you have this before getting in touch.

You’ll also need to contact your network service provider to get your number blocked. You should do this as soon as possible to make sure there is no unauthorised use that you could be charged for.

How to make a claim?

To make a Theft claim online, use the link below and fill out the form. We’ll get in touch within 24 hours of receiving your completed form. This form is only for Team Knowhow Mobile Complete customers who purchased through Carphone Warehouse.

Before getting in touch, make sure you have these bits handy:

  • Your personal details
  • Your Protection Plan number (shown on your certificate)
  • Purchase date of your phone
  • Crime Reference Number from the police

You’ll also need to have told your network to block your number. Both this and your crime reference number will be verified before your claim is accepted, and we may ask you to provide written evidence of either.

Please be aware that deliberately providing false information as part of your claim is a crime. Team Knowhow are committed to protecting our customers by identifying and investigating fraudulent claims. The details of fraudulent claims may be passed to the police and other relevant authorities, and may also be placed on a register of claims through which insurers share information.
