If you're trying to get on mobile internet, or send picture messages on the Plusnet mobile network, this guide to APN settings will help you get your smart phone connected.

Plusnet Android APN settings

Here's how to add Plusnet mobile internet settings on an Android phone.

1.

Open the Settings and tap Wireless and networks or More (this might be different on different phones).

2.

Choose mobile networks > Access point names.

3.

Tap the Menu button (three dots).

4.

Choose new APN and type in:

  • Name: Plusnet Internet
  • APN: everywhere
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
  • MMSC: http://mms/
  • MMS Proxy: 149.254.201.135
  • MMS Port: 8080
  • Authentication Type: PAP
  • APN Type - You might be given a list to choose from, or asked to type something in. If it's a list, choose internet+MMS. If you're asked to type something in, type a * on its own
5.

Press the Menu button and tap Save.

6.

Make sure the new APN is picked. You might need to tap the network name to turn it on.

7.

When your mobile data is working, you'll see 4G, 3G, H, E or G next to your signal bars at the top of the screen.

Plusnet iPhone APN settings

If your iPhone didn't set up automatically, here's how to add the Plusnet mobile APN settings manually.

1.

Open the Settings and choose mobile data or cellular data (it depends on your network).

2.

Tap mobile data network or cellular data network.

3.

Type this in:

Mobile/Cellular Data:

  • APN: everywhere
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password - secure

MMS:

  • APN - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • MMSC - http://mms/
  • MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135:8080
4.

At the top of the screen, tap the left arrow three times.

5.

Press the Home button.

6.

When your mobile data is working, you'll see 4G, 3G, H, E or G next to your signal bars.

Plusnet BlackBerry APN settings

Here's the Plusnet APN settings to manually get your BlackBerry 10 connected to mobile data.

Internet APN

1.

Open the settings and tap Network connections > Mobile network.

2.

Choose APN.

3.

Tap Mobile Plan Selector and choose contract or prepay depending what you use.

4.

Type this in:

  • Access Point Name: everywhere
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
5.

Tap save.

6.

Look next to your signal bars for 4G, 3G, H, E or G. When it's there, your mobile data is working.

MMS APN

1.

Swipe the Home screen from left to right and tap menu (3 dots in the top-right corner).

2.

Choose Settings > Text messages > Advanced.

3.

Scroll past the SMS settings and find the APN settings.

4.

Type these settings in:

APN Settings:

  • APN: eezone
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure

MMSC Settings:

  • MMSC URL: http://mms/
  • Proxy URL: 149.253.201.135:8080
5.

Press save.

Plusnet Windows phone APN settings

Your Windows phone should connect to the web automatically, but if you're having problems, follow these steps to manually add the network APN settings. The settings are different depending on the version of Windows you're using.

Windows 10 Mobile

1.

Swipe the Home screen from right to left and choose Settings.

2.

Tap network and wireless > mobile+SIM > SIM settings.

3.

Choose + add an internet APN.

4.

Fill in the form with these settings:

  • Profile name: Plusnet Internet
  • APN: everywhere
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
5.

Tick the box next to 'Use this APN for LTE' and then tap Save.

6.

Choose + Add an internet APN.

7.

Fill in these MMS settings:

  • Profile name: Plusnet MMS
  • APN: eezone
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
  • Proxy server: 149.254.201.135
  • Proxy Port: 8080
  • MMSC URL: http://mms/
  • Maximum MMS size: 1048576
8.

Tap save.

9.

You'll see 4G, 3G, H, E or G when your data is working.

1.

Open the Settings and tap mobile+SIM or cellular+SIM.

2.

Check that the 'Data connection' is turned on, then press SIM settings.

3.

Choose edit internet APN.

4.

Fill in these settings:

  • APN: everywhere
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
5.

Choose save (looks like a disk).

6.

Choose edit MMS APN.

7.

Type in the following information:

  • APN: eezone
  • Username: eesecure
  • Password: secure
  • WAP gateway URL: 149.253.201.135
  • WAP gateway port: 8080
  • MMSC URL: http://mms/
8.

Choose save.

9.

Look for 4G, 3G, H, E or G next to your signal bars. When it's there, your data is working.

Plusnet Nokia feature phone APN settings

If your Nokia feature phone isn't automatically connecting to the internet, you'll need to enter the APN settings manually. Here's how.

1.

Press Menu > Configuration > Personal settings.

2.

Tap options > add new.

3.

Choose web to start filling in the manual settings.

4.

Press account name, type in Plusnet Internet then tap OK.

5.

Press homepage, type in http://m.google.com, then tap OK.

6.

Press use pref.acc.pt then tap no.

7.

Press acc point sett > bearer settings.

8.

Choose pack. data acc. pt then type in everywhere and tap OK.

9.

Press username then type in eesecure and tap OK.

10.

Press password then type in secure and tap OK.

11.

Press the back button three times to go back to the network list.

12.

Press and hold the name Plusnet Internet and then press activate.

13.

Press the back button.

14.

Choose def. config. sett and press personal config > default.

15.

Press the back button twice more and get back to the Home screen.

16.

3G, H, E or G showing next to your signal bars means you're connected.

1.

Find and choose the menu option on the Home screen.

2.

Choose configuration.

3.

Choose personal settings.

4.

Choose options.

5.

Now choose add new.

6.

Choose multimedia msg. These settings will let you send picture messages.

7.

Choose account name, type in Plusnet MMS, then choose OK.

8.

Choose server address, type in http://mms/ and choose OK.

9.

Choose use pref. acc. pt and Choose no.

10.

Choose acc point sett.

11.

Choose proxy, then Choose enable.

12.

Choose proxy address and type in 149.254.201.135, and choose OK.

13.

Choose proxy port, type in 8080 and choose OK.

14.

Choose bearer settings.

15.

Choose pack. data acc. pt, type in eezone and choose OK.

16.

Choose username, type in eesecure, and choose OK.

17.

Choose password, type in secure, and choose OK.

18.

Press the back button three times to return to the list of networks.

19.

Press and hold on the network name, Plusnet MMS, then choose activate.

20.

Choose the back button.

21.

Choose def. config. sett. and then choose personal config.

22.

Choose default.

23.

Press the back button twice, which will take you back to the Home screen.
