Life APN Settings

If you're trying to access mobile internet, or send multimedia messages on the Life network, this guide to APN settings will help you get your smart phone connected so you can browse the web, use email, and send MMS messages.

Android APN settings for Life

Android APN

Here's how to manually add the Life internet settings on an Android phone.

1.

Open Settings from the Home screen.

2.

Tap Wireless and networks or More (this'll depend on your Android version).

3.

Tap Mobile networks Access point names.

4.

Tap the Menu button (this could be the lower left soft key, 3 dots in the top right corner, or the word 'more').

5.

Tap New APN.

6.

Enter the following:

  • Name - Life Internet
  • APN - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • MMSC - http://mms/
  • MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135
  • MMS Port - 8080
  • Authentication type - PAP
  • APN type - If you get a choice, pick internet+mms. If the keyboard appears, enter *

Tap Menu Save.

8.

Pick the name we've just created.

9.

Next to your signal bars, you'll now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G. This shows you're now connected.

iPhone APN settings for Life

If your iPhone isn't downloading the Life network settings automatically, here's how to add them manually.

1.

Tap Settings.

2.

Tap Mobile data or Cellular data (it'll depend on your network).

3.

Tap Mobile data network/Cellular data network.

4.

Enter the information below:

Mobile or Cellular Data:

  • APN - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure

Visual Voicemail:

MMS:

  • APN - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • MMSC - http://mms/
  • MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135:8080

5.

Press the left arrow at the top of the screen 3 times.

6.

Press the Home button.

7.

To make sure these settings have worked, look next to your signal bars. 4G, 3G, E or GPRS shows you're now connected.

BlackBerry APN settings for Life

Here are the Life APN settings to manually connect your BlackBerry 10 phone to mobile data.

Internet APN settings

1.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to get you to the notification panel.

2.

Tap Settings Network connections Mobile network.

3.

Tap APN Mobile plan and choose Contract or Prepay.

4.

Enter the following:

  • Access Point Name - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
5.

Tap Save (in the top right corner).

6.

You should now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen. This shows you're connected.

MMS APN settings

1.

From the Home screen, swipe left to right.

2.

Tap Menu > Settings > Text Messages > Advanced.

3.

Scroll down past the SMS Settings and enter the following settings.

APN settings:

  • APN - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure

MMSC Settings:

  • MMSC Settings:
  • MMSC URL - http://mms/

Tap Save.

Windows phone APN settings for Life

Your Windows phone should connect to the web automatically, but if you're having problems, follow these steps to manually add the network APN settings. The settings are different depending on the version of Windows you're using.

Windows 10 mobile

1.

Swipe the screen from right to left. This'll open your apps list.

2.

Tap Settings > Networks & wireless Mobile + SIM.

3.

Tap SIM settings (at the bottom of the page).

4.

The options to add internet APN and MMS APN are separate. Tap + add an internet APN.

5.

Enter the following:

  • Profile name - Life Internet
  • APN - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
6.

Tick the box next to Use this APN for LTE.

7.

Tap Save.

8.

Tap +Add MMS APN

9.

Enter the following settings into the boxes:

  • Profile name - Life MMS
  • APN - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • Proxy server - 149.254.201.135
  • Proxy port - 8080
  • MMSC (URL) http://mms/
  • Maximum MMS size1048576

10.

Tap Save.

11.

You'll now see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen. This shows that you've connected successfully.

Windows phone 8.1

1.

Swipe the screen from right to left to open your apps list.

2.

Tap Settings Mobile + SIM or Cellular + SIM.

3.

Check that the data connection is on, then find and Tap SIM settings.

4.

The internet APN and MMS APN settings are separate. Tap Edit internet apn.

5.

Enter this information:

  • APN - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
6.

Tap the Save icon.

7.

Tap edit MMS APN.

8.

Enter the following settings into the boxes:

  • APN - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • WAP gateway (URL) - 149.254.201.135
  • WAP gateway port - 8080

9.

Tap Save.

Windows phone 8

1.

To open your apps list, swipe the Home screen from right to left.

2.

Tap Settings Mobile network and turn on the data connection.

3.

Tapping the Back button will take you back to your apps list. Tap Settings again.

4.

Tap Access point.

5.

If you see the name of your network provider, tap it, otherwise Tap Add.

6.

Enter the following information:

  • Connection name - Life Mobile

Internet APN:

  • Access point name - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure

MMS APN:

  • Access point name - eezone
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure
  • Proxy address - 149.254.201.135
  • Proxy port - 8080

7.

Tap the tick at the bottom to save, and you should see 4G, 3G, H, E or G at the top of the screen, which shows it's worked.

 Windows phone 7/7.5/7.8

1.

In order to access the apps list, you'll need to swipe the Home screen from left to right.

2.

Tap Settings Mobile network Add APN.

3.

Enter the following details:

  • Name - Life Internet

Tick the box to make this the default APN (if that option is there).

Internet APN:

  • APN - everywhere
  • Username - eesecure
  • Password - secure

MMS APN:

  • MMS Access Point Name - eezone
  • Proxy address - 149.254.201.135
  • Proxy port - 8080
  • MMSC address - http://mms/
4.

Tap the tick or disk icon to save the information.

5.

Confirm the APN settings.

6.

Check your signal bars for a connection. You'll see 3G, H, E or G.

Nokia feature phone APN settings for Life

If your Nokia feature phone isn't automatically connecting to the internet, you'll need to enter the Life APN settings manually. Here's how.

Internet APN settings

1.

Tap Menu Configuration Personal settings.

2.

Tap Options Add new Web.

3.

Tap Account name, then enter Life Internet and Tap OK.

4.

Tap Homepage, then enter http://m.google.com, and Tap OK.

Tap Use pref. access pt. and Tap No.

6.

Tap Acc. point sett > Bearer settings.

7.

Tap Pack. data acc. pt., enter everywhere and tap OK.

9.

Tap the Back button three times.

10.

Hold your finger on Life Internet. When a menu appears, tap Activate.

11.

Tap the Back button again.

12.

Tap Def. config. sett., and tap Personal config.

13.

Tap Default.

14.

Tap Back twice to go back to the Home screen.

15.

Check the top of the screen for H, 3G, E or G, this confirms you're connected to the mobile data network.

MMS APN settings

1.

From your Home screen, tap Menu.

2.

Tap Configuration Personal settings Options.

3.

Tap Add new Multimedia msg.

4.

Tap Account name, enter Life MMS and tap OK.

Tap Server address, enter http://mms/ and tap OK.

6.

Tap Use pref. acc. pt. and tap No.

7.

Tap Acc point sett. Proxy Enable.

8.

Tap Proxy address, enter 149.254.201.135 and tap OK.

9.

Tap Proxy port, enter 8080 and tap OK.

10.

Tap Bearer settings.

11.

Tap Pack. data acc. pt., enter eezone and tap OK.

12.

Tap Username, type in secure, and tap OK. Then tap Password, enter secure and tap OK.

13.

Press Back three times.

14.

Press and hold on Life MMS and choose Activate.

15.

Press Back.

16.

Press Def. config. sett. and press Personal config.

17.

Press Default.

18.

Press Back twice to go back to the Home screen.
